James Bond favourite Regé-Jean Page has stepped back into the spotlight after months of flying under the radar.

Page, 37, took to the runway at Vogue World: Hollywood, strutting his stuff in a crisp, classic tuxedo – looking the part of 007, a role he’s rumoured to be in the running for

He joined other celebrities, including performers Doja Cat and Gracie Abrams, as they walked the runway with famous faces like Ayo Edebiri, Nicole Kidman, Kyle MacLachlan, and many more.

The Bridgerton actor hasn’t been seen much in recent months, since the press tour for his latest film Black Bag came to an end.

But now, seeing the heartthrob in a dapper tuxedo has once again reminded fans of the rumours that Page might take up the mantle of the world’s most famous spy.

Previously, the actor addressed rumours that he would be replacing Daniel Craig as Bond.

‘Its not something I’ve thought about very much,’ he told Entertainment Tonight of the rumours.

He explained: ‘I’m a bit of a racehorse; I focus intensely on what’s in front of me and then go back to the stables and go back to sleep.’

His Black Bag co-star Marisa Abela (known for her role in the hit show Industry) was enthusiastic about the idea, chiming in: ‘I think we should nominate Rege!’

In recent months, speculation has been growing in intensity around the closely guarded plans for the return of Bond, from who will wear the bow tie to who will sing the theme song.

After the agent was killed off at the end of No Time To Die – a death that marked the close of a 68-year chapter – it’s been clear that big changes are coming for the franchise.

What happens next for 007 is, as it stands, somewhat of a mystery. The franchise has been acquired by Amazon MGM Studios, which, for better or worse, signifies a full revamp of the Bond universe.

It’s no longer just about a blockbuster every four years. There could be multiple Bonds at once – animated series, TV dramas, and (heaven forbid) a reality TV competition to find the next Bond girl all suddenly seem possible.

Of course, the biggest question on everyone’s minds is who will be donning a tux and fighting bad guys as the iconic character, with names like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Paul Mescal, and Jonathan Bailey being thrown around, alongside Page’s.

For fans, though, we’re off to a promising start: Dune director Denis Villeneuve has signed on to direct the next instalment, with Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight writing the script.

Arguably, there has never been a more important Bond. Whoever takes the reins from Daniel Craig will be tasked with launching 007 into a new era.
