Jamie Foxx Stands Up to Crowd-Goer in Efforts to Protect Star

Jamie Foxx Defends GloRilla After Bottle Thrown Onstage

Jamie Foxx was quick to protect GloRilla after her set was interrupted at Skvlk Fest, the Halloween party hosted at his home. The 57-year-old actor was onstage at Skvlk Fest, a party hosted at his home and organized by his 17-year-old daughter, Anelise. TMZ was first to report details from the event.

GloRilla, 26, had been performing when the object was thrown, momentarily halting the show. Foxx quickly responded and addressed the crowd. “Why would you do something like that?” Foxx said into the microphone. “Why would you throw something at the stage, man? This is for free.”

Foxx addressed the crowd again, directing his frustration at the person who threw the bottle.

“Y’all don’t deserve this s—. That’s f—– up, bro,” he said. “I’m so disappointed. I love y’all but hate whoever the f— that was. That ain’t cool, bro. You throw some s— at my house? That ain’t cool.”

The moment eventually passed, and GloRilla picked the performance back up, finishing her set.

Neither Foxx nor GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Woods, has issued a public statement about the incident.

Foxx Praises Daughter’s Festival Vision

Foxx later shifted the focus to praising his daughter for putting the event together. In multiple Instagram posts, he celebrated Anelise’s work planning Skvlk Fest, which featured artists including Tyga and Leon Thomas.

“This is just a little taste of what was going on behind the scenes … my daughter, @anelisefoxx, has always wanted to throw the biggest party in the world,” he wrote alongside clips of the festival atmosphere.

“When she was a little kid, that was her dream and aspiration … it is now coming true,” he added. “The first annual @skvlkfest was amazing!!”

The moment also echoes a similar incident from late last year. In December, TMZ reported that Foxx was hit with a glass during his birthday dinner in Beverly Hills. A spokesperson later confirmed the injury.

“Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth,” the spokesperson said. “He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called, and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.”

No injuries were reported at Skvlk Fest, but Foxx’s response drew attention online, with many calling it a clear show of loyalty and protection.
