Jane Fonda Turns 88 & Looks Fabulous — See Her Now & When She Was Younger!

Jane Fonda is celebrating her birthday today, Sunday, December 21, and she happens to be turning 88 years old. To mark the special occasion, let’s take a look back at the star over the past year.

On February 8, Fonda attended the 2025 Producers Guild Awards in Los Angeles. She looked lovely while wearing an all-pink pantsuit with matching top and scarf.

She also attended “The Wallis Delivers: A Benefit Evening To Support Wildfire Recovery” event at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on April 30, while in Beverly Hills.

Shen then popped up in France on May 24, while making an appearance on the closing ceremony red carpet at the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival. Wearing a gorgeous gown with long sleeves and a flowing skirt, she was certainly ready to pose for the cameras.

On June 5, Fonda could be found at the WMC 2025 Women’s Media Awards in New York City. Her radiating pantsuit was both professional and glamourous.

Fonda then attended Variety’s 2025 Power of Women at The Beverly Hills Hotel on October 29. This time, she chose an all-black ensemble.

On November 6, the star was seen at the WIF 2025 Honors at The Beverly Hilton. Wearing a striking red suit, she paired that with a simple black shirt.

While Fonda looks fantastic these days, she was also stunning when she was younger.

Jane Doesn’t Want People to Fear Aging

Fonda seems to be embracing getting older, and she definitely doesn’t want others to fear aging.

“I want young people to stop being afraid about getting older. What matters isn’t age, isn’t that chronological number,” she told Vogue in August 2022. “What matters is your health.”

“My dad died six years younger than I am now,” she added. “He seemed so old because he was ill. He had a heart disease. I’m not ill. … I don’t seem that old.”

“So getting young people to stop being afraid of being old, helping people realize that just because you’re a certain age doesn’t mean you have to give up on life, give up on having fun, give up on having boyfriends or girlfriends, making new friends, or whatever you want to do,” Fonda continued. “It’s still in the realm of life possibilities for you. … That’s why I always tell people what my age is because I want them to realize it.”
