The bare minimum won’t do for Jennifer Lopez.
The romcom icon — who recently put on a steamy display with Brett Goldstein in the new Netflix movie, Office Romance — has revealed how a man could win her affections.
While appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, JLo was quizzed about her love life. Specifically, whether or not she checks or answers her DMs.
And, for those hoping to get a reply from the star, romantic or otherwise, it’s bad news. Because Jennifer revealed that she’s not a huge fan of chatting or getting to know someone on social media.
‘Do you check your DMs, Jennifer?’ Andy asked her, to which she straight-out replied, ‘No.’

The talk show host continued, asking whether it’s a strict rule or if there’s wiggle room depending on who’s getting in touch.
‘What if some amazing Spanish soccer player DMs you?’ he teased.
However, JLo stood her ground, and maintained that if they ‘really wanted to find’ her, they could.
‘[But] not through Instagram,’ Andy confirmed.
‘You’re not going to find me through Instagram or sliding into my DMs. You have to make more of an effort than that,’ the 56-year-old finished.
Since Office Romance dropped on the streaming platform, JLo’s love life has become the centre of conversation in most interviews.
Jennifer was joined by her Ted Lasso co-star Brett in a joint interview with Savannah Guthrie on The Today Show, where they were forced to confront rumours that they were dating.
Which, of course, the two found hilarious.
‘There’s never a time when I’m seen with somebody or working with somebody where they don’t try to put me with the person,’ the Maid in Manhattan star told Savannah, who admitted that this observation was ‘true.’
Brett then weighed in on the discussion, teasing that ‘if you stand near her, that’s what happens.’
In reality, Jennifer publicly split from her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, in 2024. The pair, who were dubbed ‘Bennifer’ during their time together, were once Hollywood’s most-loved power couple, having first been an item way back in 2002.
After meeting on the set of Gigli, JLo and Ben got engaged shortly after. However, they postponed their wedding in 2003, but never made it down the aisle, as they split in 2004.
At the time, JLo attributed the breakup to Ben’s discomfort with the media’s scrutiny of their relationship.
Then, after 20 years apart, they rekindled their romance in July 2022 and sealed the deal with not one, but two weddings that year.
The first was an intimate ceremony at the A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas in July.
A month later, they hosted a larger, star-studded ceremony and reception for family and friends at Ben’s Georgia estate.
Unfortunately, their love story was not meant to last, as their divorce was finalised in January 2025, making them both legally single.
Still, the pair revealed that they are on good terms and there is no love lost between them.
Ben stated to GQ that there was ‘no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue’ surrounding their split. Rather, he emphasised that he has ‘nothing but respect’ for Jennifer.
He said in the interview, ‘The truth is, when you talk to somebody, “Hey, what happened?” Well, there is no: “This is what happened.” It’s just a story about people trying to figure out their lives and relationships in ways that we all sort of normally do.’
