<p id=”par-1_89″>Josh Duggar was feeling pretty angry and feisty while being housed inside the Washington County Detention Center before his transfer to FCI Seagoville. The father of seven sent a ton of emails following his child pornography conviction, and several of them attempted to call out his own family members. In one particularly angry message to his mother, Michelle Duggar, he revealed that none of his 18 siblings had reached out to him in any capacity. So, who were the siblings in question? The answer is actually kind of surprising.</p>

Still, he is the one Duggar sibling to pay him a visit during his close-to-home incarceration. From what we know, John David hasn’t made the trek to Texas to visit Josh in federal lockup, but it’s possible he did so in secret.</p>

<p id=”par-3_80″>One other brother, however, was spotted visiting Josh in Seagoville, Texas. According to the U.S. Sun, Joseph Duggar, who has his own alleged sex crimes to answer for, showed up in Texas in 2024 to visit his big brother. I think this is the only time a sibling was spotted heading into the federal institution. It’s unclear what led him to visit the locked-up Josh, but given the nature of Josh’s conviction and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/a-complete-list-of-the-duggar-family-scandals.html/”>Joseph’s alleged crimes,</a> family followers are concerned.</p>

<p id=”par-4_71″>While John David Duggar made the effort to video chat with his brother while he was detained, one of his sisters contacted him via message. According to the email obtained by <a href=”https://people.com/josh-duggar-siblings-shameful-only-2-of-18-reached-out-11963215″>People</a>, Josh noted that Jessa had written him a note, but he hadn’t heard from any of his other sisters, nor had he had any additional contact with his brothers. He didn’t share the contents of that correspondence with her.</p>
<p id=”par-5_65″>More than a year ago, prison call logs showed that Josh had attempted to contact several of his siblings. Most seemed to opt not to answer. It’s unclear why he was trying to call them. While his siblings largely didn’t wish to speak with him, his wife, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/unearthed-emails-show-just-how-much-anna-duggar-resented-her-in-laws.html/”>Anna Duggar, was consistently eager </a>for phone contact. The pair spoke regularly while he was awaiting his transfer.</p>

Jill Dillard, who is famously estranged from most of the Duggar family, has noted that she attempted to send her brother mail but received no response. She theorized that her troubled eldest brother had <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/jill-dillard-reveals-josh-duggar-isnt-accepting-mail-from-her-while-he-is-in-prison.html/”>refused to correspond with her.</a> Jill made it clear she was never interested in offering her sibling forgiveness, though.</p>

Jinger sat down for a chat with Tamron Hall on <em><a href=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkm86oRMgIU”>The Tamron Hall Show</a></em><em> </em>back in 2023 and made it clear that she and Josh were not on speaking terms. She told the talk show host that she hadn’t spoken to her brother in years and had no plans to change that. She insisted she hadn’t seen any positive changes in him, though she continued to pray for his victims.</p>
