The rumored tension was actual! Katy Perry, 40, and Orlando Bloom, 48, have reportedly called it quits after almost 10 years of dating. “Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,” a source tells Us Weekly.

As per a report published in PageSix, the source added, “It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is, of course, upset but is relieved not to have to go through another divorce.”
Months of Distance and Tension Led to the Split
Their split followed months of strain. “It’s not contentious at the moment. ⦠Their relationship has been tense for months,” the insider shared.

They have lived apart since Perry began her Lifetimes tour earlier this year, renting out her Westcott Estate. At the same time, Bloom remained in their other Montecito home, once intended as their family base.

The couple met in January 2016 at the post-Golden Globe afterparties and briefly split in March 2017, later reuniting a year later. Bloom proposed on Valentine’s Day 2019.

Perry announced her pregnancy in March 2020, and baby Daisy arrived in August of that year. Bloom is also the father of 14-year-old Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
The Couple Plans On Staying Close For their Daughter
Despite their split, the pair remains close for the sake of their daughter. A source spoke to US Weekly and said, âThey are still very much in touch and coâparenting Daisy together, “the source says.
Bloom recently brought Daisy to see Perry during her tour before attending a high-profile wedding.

The source added, “They aren’t making drastic changes for Daisy’s sake. They will keep their lives in Montecito. They are prioritizing stability and consistency for Daisy.â
Separate Paths, Shared Effort: Perry and Bloom Focus on Work and Moving Forward
Perry has remained focused on her tour schedule, while Bloom has been seen more frequently at public events without her.
According to insiders, the couple never finalized any wedding plans during their six-year engagement, and Bloom was reportedly ready to move on. Despite their differences, Perry reflected in April 2023, as reported by People, that they âcontinuously put in the work” to make the relationship last, highlighting their mutual effort even amid growing challenges.

According to TMZ, the actor is newly single and moving on â just ahead of what’s being called the wedding of the year: Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s SSánchez’sstar-studded celebration in Venice, Italy.
Sources told the outlet that Orlando’s appearance at the event might serve as his official debut as a single man. “He’s the life of the party and he’s gonna hit the dance floor hard, “TMZ shared, suggesting Bloom plans to make a lively impression in the wake of his split.
Neither Katy Perry nor Orlando Bloom has publicly commented on the split.
