If you thought Taylor Swift asking fans for friendship bracelets was as strange as pop star requests got, Kesha has just raised the bar by several thousand molars.

The TiK ToK singer, 39, has asked supporters to send her their human teeth, insisting she’s being completely serious.

Appearing on the Las Culturistas podcast, she revealed she’s been collecting teeth for years after becoming fascinated by the people who support her music.

‘Do you know I collect teeth? I do. Send them over,’ she said.

According to Kesha, the whole thing began when a fan mentioned their child had lost a baby tooth.

‘The teeth started when I became obsessed with my fans and then someone was like, “My child lost their teeth,” and I was like, “Can I have them?”’

For most celebrities, fan mail means letters, flowers, or the occasional homemade painting. But for Kesha, apparently, it’s incisors in the post.

The singer revealed she’s already transformed her ever-growing collection into a necklace, earrings, a belt, and even a crown.

She’s previously said she’s been gifted more than 1,000 teeth by fans over the years, meaning somewhere out there are a lot of parents explaining why the Tooth Fairy apparently outsourced to a Grammy-nominated pop star.

But the accessories aren’t the only reason she’s hanging on to them.

‘I just started collecting them because it kind of freaks out straight men,’ she admitted.

Kesha has also started using the remaining teeth as home décor.

‘I just started putting them all over my home, in little jars,’ she said, painting a mental image that probably won’t be appearing in any interiors magazines anytime soon.

The Timber hitmaker insisted she’s doing everyone a favour, arguing that discarded baby teeth are only going to waste otherwise.

‘I’m a pop star. I need your teeth,’ she said. ‘Do you flush them down the toilet? Where are they going? Give them to me. Can I actually have them? It’s not a drill, not a joke.’

Just when it seemed impossible for the conversation to become any more surreal, it turned out her collection isn’t limited to human teeth either.

Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast earlier this year, Kesha revealed she also keeps her cats’ extracted teeth because they remind her of the people – and pets – she loves.

‘I have my cats, they had to get their little teeth taken out. They’re little kitty wisdom teeth. I collect those too,’ she explained.

Of course, longtime Kesha fans won’t be entirely shocked. The singer also recently revealed she wears another deeply personal piece of jewellery: a necklace made from her own placenta.
