Kristen Bell has revealed that she isn’t bothered by her husband, Dax Shepard, sleeping with other women.

After becoming engaged in 2010, the couple waited until 2013, when same-sex marriage was legalised to tie the knot.
The couple has shared details about their relationships throughout their decades together, and now Kristen has revealed that they aren’t bothered by cheating.
‘Kind of who cares, to be honest?’ reported The Sun when asked about infidelity.
‘I also know we’re monkeys. We’re both attracted to other people. We’re married. We’re not dead.
‘But I don’t know that everyone has the privilege of this much confidence in their relationship.’
She also added that she has her own barometer when it comes to morality: ‘It’s using my own barometer of what is good and bad for me. It’s also promoting happiness, reducing suffering.
‘If I am with my friends and someone has weed or mushrooms or something and I’m in my 20s, I’m not raising kids so, like, great.’
‘My thing is, am I causing someone else suffering?
‘If I want to have sex with someone and I’m in college and I’m consenting and he’s consenting and we don’t want to have a relationship and it turns out to be one time, no one suffers there.’
This isn’t the first time the couple has spoken about non-monogamy.
In 2019, she told Men’s Journal: ‘I’m quite positive we are not meant to be monogamous. It’s difficult, and it requires a lot of attention, vulnerability, and openness.’
She also said of her husband: ‘He’s very open about what he needs to stay satisfied in our relationship, because if one partner isn’t satisfied, you just kiss it goodbye; somebody’s going to stray.’
After rumours that he and Kristen were ‘swingers’, Dax told Drew Barrymore in 2024 on her talk show that they are completely monogamous.
‘The most exciting tabloid story was that we were Hollywood swingers,’ he said. ‘We were swingers, and we hosted swing parties. This was in the tabloids
‘My favourite part of that happening was we got a lot of texts from other friends of ours saying, “How could you not have invited me to the swinger party?” And they were joking, of course, because they know us, and they know we’re not hosting swinger parties.
He then added: ‘There’s a lot of hot couples out there, but we haven’t crossed that divide with anyone.’
In a previous episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Dax also confirmed that he had previously been in non-monogamous relationships and there was jealousy from Kristen at the start of their relationship.
‘There was a ton of jealousy, for pretty good reasons,’ he said. ‘I had been in an open relationship for nine years; I was blacked out a big chunk of my life. You know, there were a lot of things for her [Kristen] to be concerned about.’
The couple came under fire recently after Kristen shared an anniversary post about her husband.
‘Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me:
“I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.”❤️,’ said Kristen in the post.
This invited criticism from fans who found the post insensitive, particularly during domestic awareness month.
