Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio is parting ways with his luxurious Malibu beach house, listing the oceanside property for a sky-high $23 million.
According to a report in Realtor, the “Titanic” actor originally purchased the 3,268-square-foot home for $13.75 million in July 2021. For buyers not quite ready to commit, the Oscar winner is also offering his ‘The Encinal Beach House‘ as a rental for $65,000 per month. This essentially gives potential owners the chance to “test drive” the coastal estate.
A Luxe Cliffside Property With Ocean Views
Situated along the Pacific Coast Highway, the four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home sits atop a dramatic cliff, offering sweeping ocean views. As per the Realtor, the listing highlights its prime location as one of Malibuâs most exclusive stretches. It provides access to âone of the most private and coveted beaches in Malibu.â
The home’s layout features expansive glass walls, sleek hardwood floors, and multiple patios that seamlessly blend indoor & outdoor living spaces. Spacious balconies and open glass doors bring the coastal breeze directly into the home, allowing for a seamless connection to the outdoors.
Inside the Glamorous Yet Minimalist Design
Listing photos reveal a clean, modern interior with neutral tones, minimalist décor, and high-end finishes. While the space appears to have little personal decor, itâs equipped with top-of-the-line fixtures, according to the listing.
At the heart of the home is a stunning primary suite, complete with its own fireplace, oversized walk-in closet, and a spa-inspired bathroom featuring a steam shower and soaking tub.
Resort-Level Outdoor Living

Beyond the stylish interiors, the outdoor living area truly shines. The home features a fire pit lounge, sauna, outdoor shower, and ample space for entertaining. According to the listing, guests may even spot dolphins swimming offshoreâ”so rare and special,” the description notes.
This isnât his first Malibu flip. Page Six reported that DiCaprio previously owned another nearby property, which he purchased in 1998 for $1.6 million and later sold in 2021 for $10.3 million.
That property, too, spent years as a luxury rental, with prices ranging from $18,500 to $23,000 per month. Later, it was listed for sale at Trulia for $10.95 million in 2016.
While he unloads Malibu square footage, DiCaprio is still believed to live primarily at his Hollywood Hills compound. In 2020, Page Six reported that the actor hosted an election night viewing party at his home, complete with an outdoor screen set up on his basketball court.
