Kaye Adams has been pulled from her BBC Radio Scotland programme following an internal bullying complaint.

The Loose Women star, 62, who has worked as a journalist for 40 years, has not permanently left the BBC but has been taken off air, the corporation reports.

The BBC Scotland press office told Metro: ‘We would not comment on individuals. If any complaints or concerns are raised we have robust internal processes in place to manage these.’

One ‘senior BBC source’ told The Mail on Sunday the TV star is not expected to host her morning radio show for a fortnight while internal investigations are ongoing, and it’s said accusations of Adams ‘shouting and screaming’ came from junior colleagues.

A spokesperson told the publication that ‘no complaints had been presented to her by the BBC’.

They added: ‘Further, she has worked for BBC Radio Scotland for more than 15 years and in that time has never had any issue raised about her.’

Adams presents ITV’s Loose Women, and freelances as a BBC presenter on top of her radio duties, hosting Mornings With Kaye Adams several days a week, which she’s not appeared on since October 6.

Sources claim Strictly Come Dancing star Adams attended a meeting with BBC Scotland’s new head of audio, Victoria Easton Riley, on October 8.

A source told The Daily Mail: ‘The meeting did not go well and Kaye stormed out. She hasn’t been back since and she’s not been on air.

Another added: ‘Kaye has been taken off air, she’s gone.

‘There have been complaints about her behaviour, and they’ve removed her while they investigate it. It’s being talked about all over Pacific Quay [BBC Scotland’s headquarters].

‘After the Gregg Wallace fiasco, they’re now getting much tougher on complaints about the talent and are starting to take these things seriously.’

The BBC’s Call It Out scheme was launched after an independent report into workplace culture found bosses failed to tackle a number of cases of bad behaviour by stars and managers.

The report took place after a series of scandals hit the broadcaster after news anchor Huw Edwards pled guilty to having indecent images of children, including those as young as seven, in July 2024.

A series of allegations were also made towards Strictly Come Dancing professionals, Jermaine Jenas was dismissed over a sexting scandal, and Masterchef was plunged into chaos with allegations against Gregg Wallace and John Torode.

Former MasterChef presenter Wallace, 60, was sacked in July.

He faced accusations of making ‘inappropriate sexual jokes’ and lewd comments on set, asking for the phone numbers of female members of production staff, and undressing in front of and standing ‘too close’ to women working on his shows.

The review upheld 45 out of 83 misconduct allegations, including one incident of unwelcome physical contact, three instances in which Wallace was said to have been in a state of undress, and multiple examples of inappropriate sexual remarks, humour and culturally insensitive comments.

Wallace issued an apology saying he was ‘deeply sorry for any distress caused’ and that he ‘never set out to harm or humiliate’.

Metro has contacted the BBC and representatives for Kaye Adams for comment.
