Lorraine Kelly’s familiar TV slot was pulled from the schedule, with Ed Balls and Susanna Reid confirming there’d be no Lorraine today.

In a video from her car, the 66-year-old presenter updated fans that there had ‘been a bit of a hoohah’ after a power cut at the studio.

Posting on Instagram, she shared a video and said: ‘There’s a power outage at the studio, so my show won’t be on today.

‘You can still watch GMB [Good Morning Britain], and they’re going to fix it at about 11 o’clock… ish. This Morning will still be on as well, just maybe a little bit later.

‘So it’s a bit of a shame. I was really looking forward to talking to Sharleen Spiteri from [the band] Texas. We shall reschedule, and it’ll all be fine, and I will see you tomorrow.’

Sharleen, a Scottish singer, was due to be on promoting the band’s new single Another Way To Cry as well as their 30th anniversary tour.

‘These things happen. Can’t be helped. See you tomorrow ❤️,’ Lorraine added in the caption.

On Good Morning Britain, Susanna turned to her co-host and said they’d ‘normally find out what Lorraine’s got in store’ but that wouldn’t be happening today.

‘An event has occurred,’ Ed replied, with Susanna confirming that there had been a power outage at Lorraine’s studio.

‘Lorraine is not on air today,’ she continued. ‘But we’re here until 10 o’clock!’

GMB was extended for an extra 30 minutes, with Susanna joking she hoped the ‘production team have got plenty to fill the space.’

‘I don’t know why everyone is laughing,’ she added, turning to the room, while Ed said he was just going to ‘keep smiling’.

It’s believed Lorraine will return tomorrow at her usual 9.30 slot after the studio power issues have been resolved.
