Some scary incidents leave a lasting mark, especially when they involve your family. Mandy Moore is speaking out after her family was involved in a frightening hit-and-run accident. The âThis Is Usâ star shared the news Friday on Instagram Stories, revealing that everyone is safe, but she didnât hold back when addressing the driver who fled the scene.
Mandy Details The Scary Incident
âThe woman who rear-ended my family and then drove off, we pulled over, hope your karma finds you,â Moore wrote on her (now expired) Instagram stories, as reported by Page Six. âThankfully everyone was ok but what kind of human does that?â
The 41-year-old actress didnât go into further detail about the incident. However, she made it clear that the experience was both alarming and upsetting.

In January, she clapped back at social media users who criticized her for posting a GoFundMe campaign to help her in-laws recover after losing their home in the Los Angeles wildfires. Some questioned why she wasnât covering the costs herself.
âAnd people questioning whether weâre helping out our own family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money Google says someone has is NOT helpful or empathetic. Of course we are,â Moore wrote in an updated caption, as reported by People on 12th January, 2025.
âWe just lost most of our life in a fire too. Kindly F OFF. no one is forcing you to do anything.â

âCan we not have better discretion than to leave a package at a residence that no longer exists?â she wrote alongside a photo of the destroyed home with the package sitting outside, as reported by People. âThis is my mother and father-in-lawâs home. Smh.â
