Just like her role as fiercely protective mom Rebecca Pearson on “This Is Us,” Mandy Moore is just as devoted to protecting her family in real life.

Moore, who shares sons August, 4, Oscar, 2, and daughter Louise, 10 months, with husband Taylor Goldsmith, has become known for fiercely standing up for her loved ones.

In January, she clapped back at social media users who criticized her for posting a GoFundMe campaign to help her in-laws recover after losing their home in the Los Angeles wildfires. Some questioned why she wasn’t covering the costs herself.

“And people questioning whether we’re helping out our own family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money Google says someone has is NOT helpful or empathetic. Of course we are,” Moore wrote in an updated caption, as reported by People on 12th January, 2025.

“We just lost most of our life in a fire too. Kindly F OFF. no one is forcing you to do anything.”

Following the devastating fire that destroyed her in-laws’ home, Moore also took to social media in February to express frustration after an Amazon package was delivered to the burned property.

“Can we not have better discretion than to leave a package at a residence that no longer exists?” she wrote alongside a photo of the destroyed home with the package sitting outside, as reported by People. “This is my mother and father-in-law’s home. Smh.”
