Maury Povich Jumps Into a Brand-New Project That Has Him Very Excited

Maury Povich

From 1991 through 2022, Maury Povich became a household name through his talk show, “Maury.” Although the show came to an end after an exciting 31 seasons, Povich wasn’t ready to completely retire.

In fact, he’s staying incredibly active and continues to entertain and educate fans through thought-provoking conversations.

In a new interview with EntertainmentNow, the 87-year-old gave insight into the latest projects occupying his time.

Talk Show Host Maury Povich Proudly Gets Onboard With the Latest AI Trends

Not long after his talk show concluded, Maury Povich launched his own podcast. In “On Par with Maury Povich,” the daytime TV legend sits down with a wide range of celebrities to have earnest conversations.

Although he finds the podcast fulfilling, Povich isn’t done creating and exploring. While speaking with EntertainmentNow editor Lauren Weigle, he opened up about his latest endeavors. He’s partnered with an artificial intelligence company, Air, to promote their brand.

“I don’t think if Air was strictly an AI company that I would have gotten involved,” the talk show host explained. “But there’s a whole human creative aspect to it where this is a great facility where so many visual teams can store all of their items with Air and then Air can bring them up anytime. They work 125,000 teams and they’re able to not only tweak what the visual items are, but maybe add something to them. And so therefore they use both AI and the human creative at the same time.”

While acknowledging that technology is important, Povich emphasized that the human element must remain true throughout the process.

“AI has a great future in providing the tools that allow companies to get their visual effects quickly, and that they can take their visual effects and tweak them in a way that bring them more to the present than the past,” he added.

Of course, Maury Povich prefers doing business with people he knows and trusts. He revealed he got involved with Air from an old friend from the television promotion business. The friend invited Povich to collaborate with his son’s AI company and the talk show host readily agreed. Together, they recreated the iconic “Maury” set through Air’s tools.

“I’m back in the saddle doing my show, but for Air,” Povich explained.

The TV Legend Uses His Platform to Encourage Open Dialogue & Foster Sincere Communication

“On Par with Maury Povich” is more about interviewing the biggest names in pop culture. On the podcast, Maury Povich seeks to conduct genuine conversations about life that provide value to listeners.

Fans were so enamored with the show that it received two Webby nominations for 2026 — “Best New Podcast (Entertainment and Culture)” and “Best Podcast Episode (Comedy).”

After decades in the public eye, there’s one important lesson that Maury Povich wants to pass down to the next generation.

“Here’s a piece of advice that my father gave me years ago that I’ve always talked about with my kids,” the talk show host shared in an Instagram post, noting that it applies to all of children, regardless of age. “Create a good sense of value for yourself. If you do that, that means you’re kind, you’re understanding, you’re caring, and you treat people equally. That’s the good sense of value. Teach that to your kids.”
