Michael Douglas shared a sweet message on social media to celebrate Catherine Zeta-Jones.
In his post shared on Thursday, September 25, Douglas shared a selfie from the golf course where the two appeared beaming, with Douglas wrapping his arm around Zeta-Jones.
He wrote, âTo my birthday sisterâwhat a joy celebrating another year with you! Congratulations on your spectacular game at the Celebrity Ryder Cup. Happy Birthday to the love of my life.â
He also shared the image to his Instagram Stories in addition to the post.
In the image, Zeta-Jones wore a visor bearing her initials âCZJ,â paired with a dark polo and sunglasses, while Douglas opted for a light blue striped polo and hat.
The Two Share a Birthday
The longtime Hollywood couple actually have the same birthday.
Zeta-Jones took to social media to respond with equal affection.
On her Instagram Stories, she shared a collage of images of the couple without a caption. The images included the song âOnce in a Lifetimeâ by the Talking Heads.
Minutes later, she posted several photos on her main grid, writing: âHappy Birthday Michael! Sharing this special day with you is once in a lifetime!ðâ
She also reflected on her Ryder Cup experience, describing the day as âspectacular.â
Together, Douglas and Zeta-Jones are parents to two children: Dylan, 25, and Carys, 22. Douglas also has a son, Cameron, 46, from a previous marriage to Diandra Luker. Â
Douglas & Zeta-Jones Also Share a Love of Golf
The couple is no stranger to making their love for each other known on social media. While the two share birthday posts each year, in September 2021 Douglas mentioned the day he found out they shared a birthday and a love of golf.
“My first night meeting Catherine at the Deauville Film Festival in 1998,” he began. “I found out that she had the same birthday as me–tadaah! Then when I discovered she loved golf, I realized all my fantasies had come true. I’ve lucked out at this time in my life. I just lucked out. I’m so impressed by her intelligence, sense of humor and work ethic.”
The two frequently mention golf, Zeta-Jones shared a golf reference while celebrating her anniversary with Douglas in 2024.
“24 years ago, I said,, I do. Happy Anniversary darling Michael. Our love is like a hole in oneâ¦. You have to see it to believe it. â¥ï¸â¥ï¸â¥ï¸â¥ï¸â¥ï¸â¥ï¸â¥ï¸â¥ï¸â¥ï¸â¥ï¸â¥ï¸love you,” she wrote.
