British actress and film producer Millie Bobby Brown may have subtly revealed the name of her baby daughter.
Brown, 22, and her husband, American model and actor Jake Bongiovi, 24, adopted their little girl in August of last year.
The “Stranger Things” star married the son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi in May of 2024, having been engaged since the April of the previous year.
Having opted to go down the adoption route and having kept their daughter’s name a secret until now, Brown may have let the proverbial cat out of the bag in a post on social media.
Millie Bobby Brown’s Daughter Could Be Called ‘Ruth’
In a post to her 71 million followers on her Instagram account, Millie Bobby Brown may have revealed that her and Jake Bongiovi’s daughter’s name is “Ruth.”
Brown posted a carousel of five photographs and captioned the post, “juicyyyy ð©µ.”
The five images comprised a bikini-clad beach selfie, an image of a bicycle pulling a trailer with pineapples and coconuts on it along the beach, some palm trees, a closeup of the aforementioned pineapples and coconuts, and a picture of herself swimming underwater.
In the selfie, Brown is wearing a beaded rainbow necklace, as well as a necklace with a green gem, and a silver chain that says “Ruth” on it.
“Ruth” is the name of Brown’s late grandmother. The star’s fans quickly speculated that her wearing of the chain could mean it’s the name she’s passed down to her baby daughter.
One fan wrote, “Your daughterâs name is Ruth!!! So cute!!”
Another of Brown’s followers said, “Her necklace says Ruth! Baby name??!!”
Someone else commented, “RUTH OMGð¥¹.”
One fan made a fun (and possibly inadvertent) reference to a certain candy bar mentioned in “The Goonies,” writing, “Baby Ruth???”
Finally, an Instagram user said “Ruth ?? that’s your daughter’s name.”
However, it wasn’t just speculation about her baby’s potential name in the comments section of Brown’s post.

Per IMDb, following the climax of “Stranger Things,” it looks like Brown will remain busy for the foreseeable future.
This year, she will appear in the mystery movie sequel “Enola Holmes 3.” Other upcoming projects she’s confirmed to appear in include drama film “The Thing About Jellyfish,” drama thriller movie “The Girls I’ve Been,” rom-com “Just Picture It,” and the fantasy horror television series “Prism.” She’s also rumored to star in a wartime period movie called “Nineteen Steps.”
