You won’t believe how much Alison Hammond’s son pays in rent.
Yes, despite being a millionaire TV presenter, the This Morning star charges Aidan, 19, to live at home.
But before you hurry to label her money-hungry, let us inform you that he actually only pays £10 per week.
Speaking to comedians Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe on their podcast, Parenting Hell, Alison, 49, joked that she’s reached a ‘new level’ with her teenager.
‘He’s paying rent!’, she declared.
Rob then joked that Alison ‘can’t stop earning money’, given her string of presenting gigs on ITV, such as taking over from the late Paul O’Grady as For the Love of Dogs host.

‘I mean, it’s not a lot of rent, I’ll be honest with you,’ she continued. ‘£10 a week.’
Rob and Josh burst into laughter, mocking that Aidan could afford to pay more after bagging himself DJ gigs at festivals.
‘I actually love getting a bit of cash off him every month, £40,’ Alison added.
As for what she spends the money on, well, she’s got the right idea.
‘I go and get my eyebrows done, go and get my nails done, cash, perfect.’
Rob then suggested Alison ups Aidan’s rent to £50 so she could receive it in one crisp bank note.
‘Oh, guess what he’s done now? He’s only gone an signed up to the football on Sky TV, and that’s £30, but it’s coming off my debit card!’, Alison continued.
‘So, I said to him, you’ve gotta put that £30 in now, so I’m gonna be getting, wait for it guys… £70!’

When quizzed on what happens if Aidan doesn’t pay at the end of each month, Alison said she’ll confront him with: ‘Where’s my money? I’m the landlady, I’m living here, you’re 19, you have to pay your way.’
Thankfully, according to his famous mum, Aidan isn’t ‘funny’ about paying rent but, well, for £10 a week, we wouldn’t be complaining either.
The youngster also pays for his own food, having now finished sixth form and completing his mechanic apprenticeship.
‘He wants to be a DJ now,’ Alison shared on her son’s career dreams. ‘He says being a mechanic is just too dirty. DJing was always his passion.
‘I said to him, in life, you should do something where you actually love it and you would do it for free. Then you’ll never work a day in your life if you do something you love.’
Aidan may be new to the music scene, but he’s already smashing it, working with the likes of Fat Tony.

Doting mum Alison shares her only son with ex-husband Noureddine Boufaied, a cab driver in Manchester.
Aidan has largely stayed out of the limelight growing up, apart from the odd appearance on his mum’s social media pages.
But, given his passion for DJing, it seems we’ll be seeing a lot more of him.
Alison tends to keep her love life away from the cameras, so it’s unclear when she split from Aidan’s dad, Noureddine.
However, she is now dating David Putman, 26, a 6ft 10in Russian model and dancer.
She has maintained a very close bond with Aidan throughout his childhood, previously telling Hello! Magazine: ‘Aidan is my twin who was born 30 years after me. Our personalities are very similar.
‘I’m so proud of the kind young man he’s turned into.’

She added that she’s proud of ‘the person he is’ and ‘how kind he is’, describing Aidan as ‘a lovely, chilled-out young man.’
‘When other people come up to me and say, “Your son is so lovely”, I think “Yes, I’ve done my job”.’
