The Korean ratings board has outed the existence of a new Lego game, but it isn’t another collect-a-thon adventure.
There have been countless Lego games over the years, including co-op adventures like Lego Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight, kart racers such as Lego 2K Drive, and survival experiences like Lego Fortnite.
At this point, Lego has covered so many gaming genres it’s hard to be surprised by any new crossover – even when it’s tackling more unexpected IP, like Lego Horizon Adventures.
However, the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea has seemingly outed a new Lego game you’re probably not expecting, in what sounds like essentially Lego SimCity.
As spotted by Gematsu, Lego Skylines was recently rated for release in South Korea – which also implies it’ll be out relatively soon.
This is presumably a Lego spin on Cities: Skylines from publisher Paradox Interactive. As a city building sim, similar to the classic SimCity, the game seems an odd choice at first but in theory is a perfect match for Lego.

However, the last entry in the series, Cities: Skylines 2, was marred by technical issues at launch – to the point where it indefinitely delayed the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions.
There is no indication of when Lego Skylines could be announced, but a reveal could be planned for Summer Game Fest on June 5. The remake Persona 4 Revival was also rated on the same Korean board, which doesn’t yet have a release date.
There are other ratings too for Gears Of War: E-Day, Ace Combat 8, and Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy, which has already been rumoured for the Switch 2.
This isn’t the only Lego-related leak of recent weeks. A set inspired by Arcanine from Pokémon was recently unearthed on Reddit, following the Pikachu, Eevee, Charizard, Venosaur, and Blastoise sets from earlier this year. It’s rumoured to launch August 1, priced at €100 (£86).
Similarly, there are rumours another Lego set based on The Legend Of Zelda will launch later this year. While there’s no indication of what the set is, if it’s based on Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, as the last two have been, it’ll give further credence to the rumours of a Switch 2 remake.
Lego also recently confirmed it’s planning to launch a set based on Donkey Kong ‘soon’. It’s seemingly based on the original coin-op and may turn out to be similar to the one for Pac-Man they did a while back.
