Noah Schnapp Pranked The Internet With April Fool’s Day Relationship Reveal

Noah Schnapp attends the 31st Annual Critics Choice Awards.

Noah Schnapp recently launched his one-month relationship with an Instagram story… or did he?

It turns out that the “Stranger Things” star was just partaking in some April Fool’s Day fun.

Noah Schnapp Un-Launches Relationship

On April 1, Schnapp posted what appeared to be a loved-up photo to his Instagram stories, with the caption “One month of us,” followed by a heart emoji.

While Schnapp didn’t reveal the identify of his supposed partner, the couple appeared in an embrace looking out on a city skyline.

However, a story posted on April 2 revealed there was no relationship to debut.

The star posted a follow-up story simply reading, “April fools [sic],” with a kissing face emoji.

The initial post caused a stir, as Schnapp has previously kept his love life under wraps. He came out as gay in a TikTok video in 2023, PEOPLE reports.

“I just wanted to put it away and be confident in who I am and know that I don’t have to care what people think anymore,” he told Variety.

He said that his role in “Stranger Things” helped him to come out.

“Once I did fully embrace that Will was gay, it was just an exponential speed towards accepting it for myself,” he shared.

“I would be in a completely different place if I didn’t have Will to portray, and to embrace and help me accept myself. I think if I never played that character, I probably would still be closeted.”

Celebrities Join In April Fool’s Day Fun

Schnapp wasn’t the only star to share in the April Fool’s Day fun.

“Dancing With The Stars” winner Donny Osmond posted a throwback to an April Fool’s Day prank from the set of “The Donny & Marie Show.” In the clip, Osmond appears to carry his sister Marie, only to drop her – which he later revealed was a dummy.

“Property Brothers” star Jonathon Scott also posted a prank announcement of a new show without his brother Drew. The Instagram video launching “Property Brothers: High Tech” instead featured a robot as his co-host.

“We are launching a brand new show with a brand new co-host. Please meet our friend, Rob, short for robot,” he shared.

“Bachelor” alum Annaliese Puccini teased fans with an Instagram post with a special announcement.

“Well just when you all thought we weren’t getting the bachelorette, here to finally share that you are getting a Silver instead,” the caption read.

She then confirmed it was a joke with the hashtag #aprilfools.
