Peter Andre reveals reason for not taking part in Katie Price’s damning documentary

‘I’ve never sat down with Pete from the moment we split,’ Katie Price reflects.

Katie’s turbulent relationship with Peter Andre is at the centre of her new documentary, Kate Price: Nothing to Hide.

Episode 3 of the series bares all on the former couple’s ups and downs; from meeting on the third series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2004, to their glitzy magazine wedding, and subsequent messy divorce.

The episode dives into the pair’s rise to fame as one of the UK’s most talked about couple’s of the early 2000’s, including how their brand was built by Peter’s long-time manager Claire Powell.

And despite their two children, Junior, 21, and Princess, 19, making incredibly candid appearances in the documentary where they discuss their relationship with their mother, Pete, 53, declined to be interviewed.

Revealing the reason he opted not to appear in the Sky Documentaries series, a statement on behalf of Peter is shown as the episode closes.

It reads: ‘I have chosen not to speak publicly about these matters out of love and respect for Junior and Princess.

‘Today Katie and I maintain an amicable relationship in the interests of our children. I sincerely wish her happiness and peace for the future.’

Throughout the episode Katie, 48, appears downcast as she discusses the struggles of her relationship with the Mysterious Girl singer, adding that she had to halt filming. Director Paddy Wivell added that the ‘energy drained out of her’ when opening up about her former husband.

Discussing going back into the ITV jungle for the second time in 2009 after their breakup, she recalled in the series: ‘It was all very confusing, and it brought back memories of me and Pete.

‘From people looking in, we were this perfect couple, but there were things that weren’t right as well. It’s all about communication, and we didn’t communicate.

‘But we could have worked through it, looking back. You can’t turn back the clocks now, it’s weird.’

Katie has added that it ‘eats her up’ that she’s never had the opportunity to sit down with her ex since their marriage ended.

‘It makes my head go dizzy when I talk about it because it wasn’t a good time at all. I was heartbroken,’ she explains.

‘We’ve never sat down and spoken about it ever. Never. I’ve never sat down with Pete from the moment we split up.

‘That’s what’s eaten me up the most because I haven’t been able to sit down and talk to him, that’s had an impact on me for the rest of what, 20 years, on my mental health, everything. That was… wow. Big impact.’

Heartbreakingly, Katie says she’s been searching for everything she had in her relationship with Peter in the many relationships she’s had ever since with the likes of Alex Reid, Kieran Hayler, and Carl Woods.

In February 2026 Katie and Peter stunned fans after they took to social media in an unexpected move, days after her shock wedding to Lee Andrews, to issue a joint statement insisting they’re ‘moving forward’.

‘Katie Price and Peter Andre have decided to close the door on the past and move forward into a new chapter with positivity and respect,’ the statement read.

‘We are both focused on creating a calm and supportive environment for our children.

‘We have reached a mutual agreement, both legally and personally confirming that neither of us will speak negatively about the other going forward. This decision reflects a shared commitment to our family and stability.’

They added: ‘We want to stand united for our children. We are hoping this is a start of a positive relationship. We ask for understanding and support from both the media and the public as we move ahead.’
