Piers Morgan has been accused of asking ‘weird questions’ about people’s genitalia after a recent appearance on the BBC.

This week, Piers was part of the Question Time line-up when he got into a heated exchange with Rachel Millward, one of the Green Party’s deputy leaders.

During their debate, the 61-year-old asked Rachel: ‘Do you think women have penises?’

Without missing a beat. Rachel replied ‘Do you know what, Piers? I think you have a unique, strange obsession with people’s genitalia.’

Before she could finish her answer, Piers cut across her, shouting, ‘It’s a pretty straightforward question.’

‘I’m sorry that’s a weird question,’ she replied before saying, ‘the answer is the trans community in this county is treated appallingly, this is a vulnerable group of people.’

As the audience clapped, Piers began to argue that she didn’t want to answer the question because ‘as a woman’ she knew it was ‘ridiculous’.

Without missing a beat, Rachel replied: ‘I know you’re being ridiculous’, leaving Piers to babble ‘why?’ as host presenter Fiona Bruce moved the conversation on.

The pair had been discussing Zack Polanski’s stance on trans rights when the debate broke out. Piers referenced a recent interview with Zack, where the Green Party leader branded him ‘transphobic’, a claim the broadcaster denies.

The clip, which has been viewed 1.9 million times, has been shared far and wide online, with many praising Rachel for shutting Piers down.

‘I can’t quite describe how satisfying it is to finally get to watch someone say this to Piers Morgan,’ wrote @alexc2003__ on X. ‘Absolutely fantastic from Rachel Milward.’

@CurtisDaly_ meanwhile agreed with Rachel’s observation that Piers does seem a little preoccupied with other people’s privates.

‘Rachel says Piers has a weird obsession with genitalia, and he immediately responds by talking about penises, they wrote. ‘You’re proving her point.’

@Juanlittle42 was even more forthcoming in their views, writing: ‘I don’t get why Piers is allowed in places, such a stupid, rude, dishonest, spineless charlatan.’

Piers has since responded to the clip on X, writing: ‘Read the comments.
Read the room. Do a biology class. Then answer my question.’

While Piers is right that a number of those commenting do agree with him, others are pointing out he’s sort of proving Rachel’s point for her.

@robbieessex28 pointed this out, replying to Piers: ‘Proving her wrong by doubling down on your obsession and quote tweeting her unprompted, 10 hours after already responding, is a choice.’

‘Here’s a comment that heard the room applaud her and understands biology,’ added @pluginmaybe. ‘Your weird obsession with people’s genitals, however…’

Even some of Piers’ fans thought he took it too far.

‘Stick to holding reform to account – that bit was great,’ wrote @michael132b. ‘This bit is trashy and dumb. You’ve got to move on from people’s genitals.’

While @Jake18367335 wrote: ‘You make so many good points and then immediately invalidate them by constantly talking over people and having awful conversational etiquette.’
