Rapper left covered in blood after audience member hurls glass cup at stage

The Puerto Rican reggaeton star Hades66 was left covered in blood after a glass was thrown at his head during a concert.

The shocking incident, which reportedly happened during a concert at Amok Discoteca in Palma, Majorca, caused several cuts to Hades66’s face.

After the attack, Hades66 – real name Ángel Yamil Santiago Vázquez – stopped the show and can be seen attempting to enter the crowd.

However, security held the rapper, 25, back, preventing him from wading into the mass of people.

It’s been claimed on social media that following this, several of Hades’s companions attacked the man they suspected had thrown the glass.

Videos circulating online seem to show a brawl then allegedly breaking out at the club, forcing the 1,200 clubgoers to evacuate, The Sun reports.

Police arrested one man following the incident who had allegedly punched another attendee and injured his mouth.

Hades was purported to have shared a statement following the incident on Instagram Stories.

‘I challenged him to a fight—I got out of the VIP area and went looking for him, but he hid; then, just as I was leaving, he tried to start trouble with my guys,’ the statement appears to read [via Google Translate].

‘Whoever steps out of line is going to get dealt with, anywhere in the world—like it or not.

‘Everyone at the show knows what happened and how many times I asked to settle it one-on-one, but since he likes to talk trash and then hide his hand, he got exactly what was coming to him.’

Since the video first hit the web, it’s gone viral, being shared and retweeted thousands of times.

Most notably on Reddit, the clip of the glass hitting Hades received thousands of upvotes and left fans stunned.

‘He could have lost an eye or worse???!!! What is wrong with people?’ asked haubenmeise.

‘He was lucky he was not more seriously injured,’ said Suspicious-Peace9233.

While eepcatler added, ‘What the hell… people act like their actions have no consequences. Boy, you belong in JAIL.’

Others questioned why the venue was serving drinks in glass cups rather than plastic.

‘I’m a venue bartender, and we never serve anyone in glass,’ explained KillerTofu-187.’Some shows we even have to pour out cans and twist the lids off plastic bottled beverages. This is why.’

Supermodel_robot meanwhile said: ‘As someone who goes to concerts/shows nearly once a month, there’s a reason that thin, plastic cups are the norm.

‘I miss my pint glasses/bottles, but if the odds of an artist getting glassed goes down, I’ll drink my expensive beer out of plastic… so antisocial. Don’t assault people, especially ones you paid money to see.’
