Salma Hayek goes naked swimming to celebrate milestone birthday

Salma Hayek is celebrating her 60th birthday by stripping down to her birthday suit.

The Oscar-nominated actor celebrated the big day on Wednesday, September 2, but she’s still making a splash online.

Salma shared the photos on Instagram, which show her paddling in the sea while stark naked, with her modesty carefully covered by the water.

The From Dusk till Dawn star captioned the revealing photos: ’60 and grateful.’

Unsurprisingly, the pics immediately caught the attention of fans and well-wishers.

‘Gorgeous! Happy birthday,’ wrote Rita Ora, while Lindsay Lohan declared the photos ‘(and presumably Salma): ‘Beautiful’.

Baywatch star Brandy Ledford went so far as to call Salma ‘Goals’.

And if you’re wondering how she’s maintained her looks, Salma credited her youthful appearance to meditation.

‘No Botox,’ she told the Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast in 2023.

‘I developed this strange meditation that I keep evolving… I can do it for hours because you don’t feel the time, and it’s so much fun because it’s not like you sit there and you think of nothing. It’s actually feeling the energy, and it moves, and it dances inside of you.’

That said, last year she told People she used a skin-lifting and collagen-boosting ultrasound procedure to address what she called her ‘turkey neck’. She didn’t do it for herself, however; she did it for her husband, François-Henri Pinault.

‘I just want my husband [François-Henri Pinault] to still go, ‘Wow’ when he looks at me,” she said.

‘I still want to feel good about the way I look, but not necessarily because I want to look 20. I’m okay. I’m more excited about being 50 and 60 and looking good at 50 and 60. It’s a different kind of beauty.’

This isn’t the first time the star has shared revealing photos of her in the water. Last year she dazzled Sports Illustrated readers when she became a cover star for their Swimsuit Issue.

Speaking at the time, she said [via Page Six]: ‘I remember when I was young, a long, long time ago, I was always excited to see the Swimsuit Issue of Sports Illustrated, and [thinking] “Who’s going to be in it?”‘

Salma, rather modestly, said, however, that as she ‘didn’t look like a model’, it never crossed her mind that one day she’d be on the cover.

‘If somebody had told me I was gonna be in it at 58, I would have sent them to the madhouse, but the world has changed, and that’s exciting.’
