Sean Paul has left fans utterly furious after he arrived on stage over an hour late for his ‘absolute disgrace’ Dublin gig, cutting his performance short.

The Get Busy hitmaker reportedly performed for a little over half an hour at the 3Arena — with some complaining he was ‘offbeat’ the whole show anyway.

Paul, 52, rose to fame in the early 00s with hits like Temperature and his iconic nickname ‘Sean de Paul’ being announced on every track.

He has multiple Grammy nods, including a win for Best Reggae Album with his second record Dutty Rock, which was released in 2002.

Despite huge collaborations and awards to his name, he failed to impress in Ireland on April 8 with his late antics and 45-minute gig.

Fans are increasingly taking to social media to complain about Paul and demand refunds from sellers such as Ticketmaster.

Talk show host Niall Bolan wrote on X: ‘Friends went to see this s**t show tonight. It seems Sean Paul came on at 10:35 and went off at 11:15.

‘Little or no public transport and taxis like hens teeth. If it was me who paid good money for tickets to this charade I would want a refund.’

Paul had been due on stage at 9.30pm, according to 3Arena’s social media, after an 8pm start from Ashanti.

These times were subject to change, and 3Arena declined to comment further.

‘How do I get a refund for Sean Paul in Dublin last night? Shocking show,’ gig-goer Gabrielle Sommers added.

‘Sean Paul concert in Dublin and absolute disgrace,’ shared Ross Bone. ‘He played for 45 minutes. Place full of scumbags. Ticketmaster should give a refund.’

‘Would anticipate a refund for last night’s diabolical Ashanti & Sean Paul concert,’ said J.R. ‘Between the acts arriving late & leaving early, the disruptive and poorly conducted security, the standing area wasn’t safe at all! An endless farce.’

Others revealed that opening act Ashanti did not take to the stage until around 40 minutes after she was due on.

It wasn’t just the timings that were off either; fans were complaining about the quality of his performance too.

Shaunasnell shared a clip on TikTok where Paul and his band appeared to be offbeat, writing: ‘Put the drumsticks down or else keep the correct beat.’

Nicole Murray captioned her video: ‘Sean Paul comes in at the last 30 minutes of the concert to not even finish his verses or songs.’

Some fans have already contacted Ticketmaster IE, with influencer She Dunne It sharing a response from the seller on TikTok.

They advised reaching out to the promoter directly rather than going through the seller.

Dublin appears to have just been a bad show, though, as he appeared on stage on time in Belfast the following night.

‘Look who’s here and on time,’ wrote myahiimyahoomyahhaha on TikTok, although fans pointed out there was no Ashanti performance that night.

‘Thank you for not disappointing us,’ added lifeofrachel_. ‘Complaints from Dublin must have worked and sorted him out, thank goodness!’

Kathy McCarthy praised: ‘Anyone thinking of selling their tickets don’t he was brilliant.’

Only time will tell if Paul’s Dublin show was a fluke as he heads to Aberdeen, Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, London and more throughout April.

Metro has reached out to Sean Paul and Live Nation for comment.
