Bergenâs ties to show business run deep. Her late father, Edgar Bergen, was a famous ventriloquist and comedian, and her mother, Frances, was an actress.
In a 2015 interview with Interview Magazine, Bergen recalled her celebrity-filled upbringing: âWalt Disney was a friend of the family⦠I remember Rex Harrison singing at the piano, Fred Astaire dancing with all the ladies. The Reagans were very old and close friends.â
