Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s extravagant three-day wedding celebration is officially underway in Venice, Italy.

Despite pushback from local protesters over overtourism, the couple forged ahead, reportedly moving the ceremony to the island of San Giorgio Maggiore.

Sources told PEOPLE that guests arrived by boat — about 30 in total — forming a dramatic canal convoy.

Police patrolled the area by jet ski, while an entire waterway was shut down to manage the arrivals. The soon-to-be bride and groom were among the last to appear, shielded by a cordon of security.

While Sánchez has yet to reveal her official wedding dress, speculation is swirling that it will be a custom Dolce & Gabbana gown, especially with designer Domenico Dolce in attendance.

On Day 1, the bride-to-be stepped out in a gold corset dress by Schiaparelli, leaving the Aman hotel hand-in-hand with Bezos, who kept things classic in a charcoal suit and Jacques Marie Mage sunglasses.

The guest list was as starry as it gets — and the fashion didn’t disappoint.

Ivanka Trump stunned in a sequinned cherry blossom dress by Oscar de la Renta, arriving alongside Jared Kushner, who wore a navy suit.

Leonardo DiCaprio kept it low-key in a navy suit and black baseball cap, while girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti wore a ruffled gray dress. Kris Jenner opted for a puff-sleeved black gown with diamond drop earrings; Corey Gamble paired a black suit with layered pearls.

Oprah Winfrey chose a burgundy and white gown with cut-outs and tinted sunglasses.

Kim Kardashian appeared in a snake-print floor-length gown with crystal straps, and Khloé wore a sheer metallic-printed number with a statement cuff.

Orlando Bloom, newly single and attending solo, looked relaxed in a white shirt and cream suit.

Natasha Poonawalla turned heads in a red AZ Factory gown with giant heart embellishments — a nod to designer Alber Elbaz.

Fashion house founder Domenico Dolce attended with partner Gui Siqueira, who wore a coral and white beaded blazer. Their presence further fuels the rumor that Sánchez will walk down the aisle in a Dolce & Gabbana design.
