Your time on Earth is limited and you canât watch everything there is.
Thatâs why itâs nice to have a curated list of what you should be paying attention to in order to be on top of whatâs popular. Only then can you catch up on everything else.
Again, these are the shows and movies everyone will be talking about at the virtual water cooler next week.
âItâs Always Sunny in Philadelphia” (Season 17) – Hulu
The longest running live action sitcom returns with a season that is more Disney-fied than ever. But itâs also the raunchiest show on television so it all evens out. âSunnyâ deserves the recognition itâs receiving late in its run due to the creatorâs/stars willingness to – simply put – âgo there.â Itâs fresh and funny and has a crossover with the biggest broadcast comedy, forcing those actors to be as depraved as the ones on âSunny.â Hopefully these shorter seasons allow for many more to come.
âBig Brotherâ (Season 27) – CBS/Paramount+
Fans of the longest running reality series in the biggest reality franchise will be excited for another season of backstabbing, on camera blow ups, good natured zings and more on the 27th (!) season of CBSâs âBig Brother.â Check out our extended coverage of the franchise by taking a look back at the bitter juries, bad gameplay, the state of “Celebrity,” companion shows, and spin offs. You can also check out how the house gets rebuilt every season too.
âBallardâ (Season 1) – Prime Video
Maggie Q in the âBoschâ universe is everything any middle aged man needs to hear. Based on the popular book series turned Prime Video franchise, âBallardâ follows cold case detective Renee Ballard as she leads a newly formed unit that finds corruption in the system. Yes, Titus Welliverâs Harry Bosch makes an appearance. The show is twisty and thrilling as every other âBoschâ show has been.
âSupermanâ – Theaters
Superman gets rebooted for the umpteenth time. Again, itâs pretty good (according to critics). Can James Gunn – who jumped ship from the Marvel Universe to run the entire DC Universe – make his own connected worlds work? Or have audiences tired of waiting three decades for very little payoff? Time will tell.
