Owen Cooper, just 15 years old, is already making waves in the TV world. The young British actor won Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Limited Series at the Gotham TV Awards in New York City for his breakout role as Jamie Miller in Netflixâs âAdolescenceâ.

While accepting his award, Cooper turned the spotlight on his “Adolescence” co-star, Erin Doherty, who was also nominated in the same category.

That episode that we did together, it was easy to do it with you and it was such an honour to share this, share this award with you. You deserve this award just as much as I do, so round of applause for Erin please,” he said, prompting applause from the audience.

“Adolescence” Takes Home Big Wins
Adolescence had a big night at the Gotham Awards, winning three out of four nominations. Along with Cooperâs award, the show won Breakthrough Limited Series and Outstanding Lead Performance for Stephen Graham.
