For the first time in 13 years, Lord Alan Sugar will be joined in the boardroom by both Nick Hewer and Margaret Mountford.

The dynamic duo served as Lord Sugar’s eyes and ears on the first few seasons of The Apprentice.

Sadly, in 2009, Margaret, 74, called it quits at the end of series five to work on her PhD in Papyrology.

Nick, 82, meanwhile, left the show in December 2014 after ten series, saying he believed it was ‘the appropriate time’.

The pair have made intermittent appearances on the BBC’s business series since then; however, they’ve not appeared together onscreen since 2013.

Yes, as part of the series 20 final, the pair will reunite to help Lord Sugar decide which finalist deserves his £250,000 investment.

According to The Sun, Margaret and Nick will be joined by three former winners, including cosmetic clinician Dr Leah Totton, recruiter Ricky Martin and last year’s victor, Dean Franklin.

The five will be advising finalists Karishma Vijay and Pascha Myhill before they pitch their businesses to a panel of industry experts.

Tonight’s finale is set to be a real nail-biter. Karishma is the bookies’ favourite at the moment, with MyBettingSites.co.uk giving her 1/3 odds of winning.

The 28-year-old has been a fan favourite as the only project manager to win two tasks this series.

‘It’s hard to see anyone else taking the win right now. She’s been strong all season,’ wrote Reddonaut_Irons on Reddit.

BogRollJoel agreed, adding: ‘It’s painfully obvious Karishma is gonna win.’

Other fans noted that it probably helps that Karishma’s business, KishKin skincare, is already established and because Lord Sugar has experience in the field.

‘She’ll win because of Lord Sugar’s success with Susie Ma,’ noted BogRollJoel. ‘He knows that a skincare brand can be a success. I’m not sure he knows anything about care home staff recruitment.’

Pascha Myhill

However, you can’t rule Pascha out just yet; she’s one of the youngest finalists ever and doesn’t want this opportunity to pass her by.

“Obviously, it’s super exciting to have the opportunity to open up a company with Lord Sugar, [but] I can do it by myself,’ she told The Mirror.

‘It doesn’t cost a lot to open up a recruitment company, but having the backing of Lord Sugar is why I wanted to apply and why The Apprentice was a thing for me.

‘It’s not really about the investment but about who my business partner was going to be.’

The Apprentice final airs tonight on BBC One and iPlayer at 9pm.
