<p id=”par-1_40″>Forget <em>Minecraft. </em>While the blockbuster video game adaptation took in an impressive $163 million haul at the box office during its opening weekend, a smaller <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/movies/”>movie</a> based on <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/5-best-bible-movies.html/”>a much older story</a> is drumming up significant ticket sales for theaters. </p>

<p id=”par-2_34″><em>The Chosen: Last Supper </em>– aka <em>The Chosen </em>Season 5 –<em> </em>hit big screens a few weeks ahead of the Easter holiday, and the faithful are turning out in large numbers for the event. </p>
<p id=”par-3_64″><em>The Chosen: Last Supper </em>Part 1 (episodes 1 and 2), opened on March 28 and was the weekend’s number 3 movie at the box office after <em>A Working Man </em>and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/disneys-snow-white-remake-falls-flat-face.html/”><em>Snow White</em></a>. It was followed by part 2 (episode 3, 4, and 5) on April 4. Part 2 was also number 3 at the box office after <em>A Minecraft Movie </em>and <em>A Working Man.</em> </p>
<p id=”par-4_48″>Now, <em>The Chosen: Last Supper </em>Part 3 (episodes 6, 7, and 8) is coming to theaters. The conclusion of the trilogy opens on Friday, April 11, where it will face competition from <em>The Amateur, Warfare, Drop, Sacramento, </em>and another faith-based flick, the animated movie <em>The King of Kings</em>.</p>
<p id=”par-5_28″>Following the release of part 3, dedicated viewers will be able to binge-watch all installments of <em>The Chosen: Last Supper</em> in select theaters beginning April 18 (Easter weekend). </p>

You’ll need to take a cue from Job and be patient. <em>The Chosen </em>Season 5 is coming to Prime Video in the U.S. in June 2025. (Seasons 1-4 are already streaming on Prime Video.) If you don’t have a Prime subscription, you’ll need to wait a little bit longer. The streamer has a 90-day exclusivity window for season 5. After that, it should be available to watch for free on the The Chosen app, according to <a href=”https://www.deseret.com/entertainment/2025/02/18/the-chosen-amazon-prime-video/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Deseret News</a>. <strong> </strong></p>
<p id=”par-7_50″>Amazon’s deal with Dallas Jenkins’ 5&2 Studios also includes theatrical and streaming rights to <em>The Chosen </em>Season 6 and <em>The Chosen </em>Season 7, which will cover the crucifixion and the resurrection of Jesus. Prime Video will also stream a new unscripted series, <em>The Chosen in The Wild with </em><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/ranking-bear-grylls-5-near-death-experiences.html/”><em>Bear Grylls</em></a><em>. </em></p>
