For his touchdown in Florida’s Palm Beach International Airport, the 50-year-old golfer sported black sneakers, gray shorts, and a black long-sleeved shirt with a thin puffer vest on top. He completed the outfit with a black ball cap and shades.
Following the DUI charges that resulted from his Jupiter Island rollover crash on March 27, Tiger was granted permission by Martin County Court Judge Darren Steele to leave the U.S. for treatment, per ESPN. The athlete cited privacy concerns in his request to travel out of the country.
Golfweek says Tiger sought treatment in Switzerland. The outlet says Woods is skipping the PGA Championship, which will wrap up on May 17, and is not expected to play in U.S. open, which begins June 18.
Reports Say Tiger’s Relationship With Vanessa Trump Remains Strong
A March 30 People exclusive says Vanessa, 48, is “happy” with Tiger, who she began publicly dating in 2025, despite having “her hands full sometimes.”
The report goes on to say insiders have told the outlet the pair is “in love,” and “She is very supportive of his golf endeavors because despite his age and injuries, golf dominates Tigerâs life.â
The piece says the source added, “They are good together as they both have golf in their lives. That propels the romance in a certain sense.”
Vanessa’s 19-year-old daughter and Tiger’s 17-year-old son Charlie both play the sport. ESPN says Charlie has committed to Florida State University as a member of the 2027 recruiting class. In November 2025, NBC reported Kai had committed to the University of Miami.
Tiger Woods Issued a Hopeful Statement Before Taking Off for Treatment; Was Able to Walk Immediately After Accident
Four days after the crash, Tiger broke his silence and shared a statement to X and Instagram which read:
“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation in which I find myself today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.
Iâm committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones, and myself at this time.“
The extent of Tiger’s injuries in his most recent road accident remains unknown, but he was at least up and walking around immediately after the collision, in which his Land Rover reportedly clipped the back end of a trailer, causing Tiger’s vehicle to overturn.
Tiger was photographed in the aftermath standing on the grass and holding his cell phone to his ear. He was seen being driven back home in a black SUV around midnight after being quickly booked and released for the DUI.
