Tragic Update on Nickelodeon Star Tylor Chase Following Hospitalization

Tylor Chase

New updates have emerged on former Nickelodeon child star Tylor Chase following his hospitalization.

Chase, who is best known for his role as Martin Qwerly on “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide,” was found homeless on the streets of California.

“Mighty Ducks” alum Shaun Weiss stepped in to help Chase, who was taken to the hospital last week.

However, Weiss shared a tragic update following Chase’s hospitalization, revealing that the actor is back on the streets and has returned to his old habits.

Tylor Chase Released Early From Psychiatric Hold

According to Weiss, Chase was released from psychiatric hold earlier than planned.

“They were supposed to hold him and then transport him to a detox facility that we had arranged. Instead, they let him out without contacting any of us,” Weiss told TMZ.

Weiss added that his friend, LA-based influencer Jacob “Jake” Harris, found Chase on the streets late at night last week in Riverside and contacted the crisis team again.

The Nickelodeon alum underwent another assessment, but despite the condition he’s in, the crisis team did not take him in again, Weiss explained in his Instagram post.

“Tylor has to want to go to treatment,” Weiss added. “All the resources are available, and it’s very frustrating because there is no system in place to help people like this.”

Fans Express Concern

Weiss admitted he’s now uncertain how to proceed, but he did advise people to refrain from taking photos with Chase. He also pointed out that giving him money is not helpful in his recovery.

“He needs a little space right now,” Weiss added.

Meanwhile, some people took to the comment section to express their heartbreak and concern for Chase.

Someone pointed out, “This is so disappointing, the way the system is rejecting him. He needs a facility that will bring him peace and solitude.”

Another commented, “You cannot force a person into rehab. They have to want to go, otherwise, it will probably fail. Hopefully, he has that moment of clarity and has that change of mind.”

Others lauded Weiss for his commitment to helping Chase through this challenging period.

Someone wrote, “Thank you for doing all that you can for him. You and your crew have great hearts, man.”

Another commented, “Don’t quit, Shaun! You’re such a fine example of recovery. And also, basic human decency!”

Videos showing Chase looking unkempt and unhoused recently went viral, sparking widespread concern for the former child actor.
