Travis Kelce’s Dad’s Girlfriend Passes Away & Tributes Pour In

Ed Kelce, father of NFL stars Jason & Travis Kelce, is grieving the loss of his longtime partner, Maureen Maguire. On Saturday, Aug. 2, Ed shared a link to Maguire’s obituary on his personal Facebook page.

Maguire died at age 74 and was remembered in the obituary as a “devoted mother” with “impeccable taste” who “passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.”

The obituary described Ed Kelce as Maguire’s “beloved friend,” and highlighted their shared love of football, adventures, & time spent with her loyal dog, Butch.

“She also grew an unexpected love for football later in life, sharing many laughs and adventures with her beloved friend Ed Kelce and her loyal dog Butch,” the obituary from Stretch Funeral Home read.

“Together, they traveled often and attended football games and concerts, and embraced every opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest.”

Maguire was also known for her warmth and generous spirit.

“A natural hostess, she was famous for throwing the best parties, always full of warmth, laughter, and unforgettable food,” it continued.

Maureen’s Connection With the Kelce Family & Taylor Swift

In February 2024, Ed Kelce shared a lighthearted memory involving Maguire and Travis’ girlfriend, Taylor Swift. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, he recalled Maguire joking when Swift posed for a photo with him:

“Hey, that’s my boyfriend,” she teased, prompting a laugh from Swift.

Earlier that year, during a chat on Audacy’s 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland, Ed remembered another sweet moment when Maguire helped him recall Swift’s name during a gathering at Travis’ house. “Oh, my God, I know this kid, but I don’t know what her name is,” he told Maguire.

Her quick response? “‘You don’t know her? This is Taylor Swift, you idiot.’”

Maguire is survived by three children, six grandchildren, and her brother & sister. Her funeral is scheduled for Aug. 7 at St. John Vianney Church in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania.

Instead of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Penn Heart Transplant Fund.

Ed Kelce, who was previously married to Donna Kelce for 25 years, now mourns the woman who brought joy, laughter & unwavering companionship into his life.
