In a candid confession on her BBC Radio 1 show, Vick Hope revealed something pretty funny about Taylor Swift, who Vick’s husband Calvin Harris dated for 15 months from 2015 until 2016.
The radio presenter and journalist confessed on her drivetime show, Going Home with Vick, Katie, and Jamie that she is secretly a bit of a fan of the Shake It Off singer and frequently listens to her songs – but only when her husband is ‘away.’
Vick told her co-host Katie Thistleton, ‘As soon as my husband goes away, I listen to Taylor Swift. That’s just when I get my little fill – just a little fill.’
She added: ‘Just a couple of songs, get it out of my system and then it’s done.’
Taylor’s music may be a relatable guilty pleasure for listeners, but not many can say that their husband is an ex of the 14-time Grammy-winning singer and may well have inspired some of the songs on her albums.
Calvin and Taylor began dating after being introduced by their mutual friend, Ellie Goulding.

The former couple shared many snaps of their relationship on social media and their relationship very much played out in the public eye, with Taylor telling Vogue in 2016, ‘I’m in a magical relationship right now.’
While their relationship may have been ‘magical’, their breakup was certainly not.
In June 2016 the couple split ways and, after media reports claimed that Taylor wrote some of Calvin’s music for him, the Summer singer took to X shortly after to make a series of negative – and since-deleted – tweets.

In one deleted comment Calvin said, ‘I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do.’
In another deleted tweet he said: ’I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy [Perry] ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.’
Calvin later told British GQ, that his actions were based on ‘completely the wrong instinct’. He added: ‘I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled. It felt like things were piling on top of me, and that was when I snapped.’

While Calvin and Taylor’s breakup may have taken place almost eight years ago, Vick’s comment suggested that Calvin’s clearly still not a fan of his former girlfriend’s music – not that this would hold Vick back from listening to a bop.
On X, fans were quick to compliment Vick with @sumitasinha commenting, ‘Iconic from Vick Hope! Get that Tay Tay fix!’
Another listener, @kylasrxx agreed adding: ‘Vick Hope putting on Taylor whenever Calvin leaves the house is amazing tbh.’
The Radio Presenter and Scottish DJ began dating in early 2022 and tied the knot officially back in September 2023 on a Glastonbury themed wedding. Calvin proposed at his 138 acre farm in Ibiza and the pair now reside in London.
