Sir David Beckham was one of thousands of England fans who got a little teary after that semi-final match against Argentina.

The football icon held his head in his hands as the Three Lions lost 2-1 in the Men’s World Cup match, fighting back tears.

His pop legend wife, Victoria, looked just as devastated despite recent jokes about her not cheering on the team enough.

She wrapped her arm around Sir David, 51, and rested her head on his shoulder as the former footie ace looked over the pitch with arms crossed.

The Beckhams – including Romeo, 23, Harper, 15, Cruz’ girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 30 – all came out to support the Three Lions.

Cruz, 21, was also in the stands in his England t-shirt and looked equally emotional as his dad hugged him.

England had managed to score at the 55th minute, but Argentina clawed the game back with two goals in a row.

Victoria, 52, made sure to make a show of celebrating that first goal after being roasted for not looking pleased when Bellingham scored last week.

In response to a comedian’s take on Posh’s ‘infectious smile’, Sir David wrote: ‘She was celebrating inside I promise her reactions were slightly slower than mine.’

This time, she lept into the air and hugged her husband, cheering away after Gordon’s victory and joining in as England fans erupted into song.

After the match, Sir David wrote on Instagram: ‘Heartbreak for us all but memories that inspire and last forever… Thank you to our team , our fans & our country for what you have given us in this World Cup.’

Of course, the Beckhams weren’t the only celebrities gripped by the game, as Sir Mick Jagger was spotted walking into the stadium.

He was later seen sadly shaking his head as the score evened up, looking a little weary.

Well-known football fan Louis Tomlinson was also seen in Atlanta for the big game, while on tour in the US.

He had put the last game on while he was performing in Charlotte, to the frustration of some fans, singing as he kept an eye on the match.

Not on stage for this one, the former One Direction star, 34, was sat drinking a Stella with girlfriend Zara McDermott and another pal in the stadium.

He’d told Fifa it was an ‘absolute honour’ to be at the match, declaring Bellingham was his favourite player and a ‘great role model’.

Millie Bobby Brown was also at the game, sharing on Instagram that she’s ‘so proud to be English’ and ‘so proud of my team’.

The new mum wore jeans with a Union Jack on the back as well as a blue England t-shirt as she watched from a box in the stadium.

Meanwhile, McFly’s Danny Jones posted a video of kick-off, and Ross Kemp shared his usual enthusiastic cheerleading.

The EastEnders star was literally drooling over Bellingham’s goals previously and decided to post a shirtless selfie ahead of the game.
