In just a few hours the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest will kick off in Vienna, Austria.
This time around there will be 35 acts competing with the hopes of taking home the trophy for their country.
This year will mark the third time the Austrian capital has hosted the event, previously doing so in 1967 and 2015.
The country secured hosting duties in Basel last year following JJ’s win with his song Wasted Love, with favourites this year currently being Finland, Greece and Denmark.
Over three nights, the contest is set to attract over 166 million viewers around the world, with two Austrian public figures tasked with hosting the event.
Before Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski step up to one of the biggest stages in the world, here’s everything we know about the pair.
Who is Victoria Swarovski?
Hailing from Innsbruck, Victoria Swarovski’s name might sound familiar for a reason.
The 32-year-old is not only a pop singer, model and TV presenter – but she’s also a heiress to the multi-billion-dollar luxury jewellery company Swarovski.
She is the daughter of Alexandra and Paul Swarovski, with her mother working as a journalist while her father is part of the family company.
As a teenager Victoria decided to pursue a career away from Swarovski, signing her first record deal with Sony Music aged just 16.
Two years later she moved to Los Angeles, where she worked with Grammy-winning songwriter Diane Warren, who wrote hits including Rhythm of the Night, If I Could Turn Back Time, How Do I Live and I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.
However, it was in 2016 when she had her big break and won the TV series Let’s Dance, a German dance competition inspired by Strictly Come Dancing.
The same year she became the youngest judge in the history of the show Das Supertalent and in 2018 joined Let’s Dance as a host.
She’s also known for singing the song There’s a Place for us in the 2010 film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
As well as her TV career, Victoria has her own beauty brand – ORIMEI – and has also modelled for and appeared on the covers of Glamour, ELLE, L’Officiel, Gala Style, and Forbes.
From 2017 until 2022 she was married to real-estate-investor Werner Mürz. Her wedding dress was famously a 46kg custom-made gown costing over $1million, featuring a train studded with 500,000 of her family’s world-famous Swarovski crystals.
She is now in a relationship with Mark Mateschitz – whose father Dietrich Mateschitz co-founded Red Bull GmbH.
Mark is estimated to be worth $45.8billion (£33billion), making him the 43rd richest person in the world.
Who is Michael Ostrowski?
Hosting alongside Victoria will be Michael Ostrowski, who hails from Leoben.
The actor and screenwriter, 53, has appeared in more than 40 films throughout his career.
Initially working as a research fellow, he was cast in his first role in a short film in 2001.
Born Michael Stockinger, he eventually changed his surname as there was already a cabaret performer with his name.
His breakthrough role came in the 2004 movie Slugs and since then he’s become known for comedic roles and also writing the screenplays for several films.
What is the TV schedule for Eurovision?
The first semi-final of the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest will air tonight from 8pm on BBC One, with the second semi-final airing at the same time on Thursday night.
Meanwhile the Grand Final will be held from 8pm on Saturday.
Who is presenting the BBC coverage?

Meanwhile, Graham Norton will commentate the Grand Final.
