This morning the Vatican released a statement that read: ‘Pope Francis died on Easter Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 88 at his residence in the Vatican’s Casa Santa Marta.’
After being admitted to hospital on February 14 after having difficulty breathing, it later emerged the Pope was suffering from a complex respiratory tract infection and double pneumonia.
Since news of his death spread, many notable names in the entertainment industry have expressed their condolences.
