A This Morning guest explained how her rather realistic-looking baby dolls can benefit owners on one segment of the ITV show.
Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley met Jayne Seddon, who has been making life-like items for over 35 years.
The studio was filled with her creations that cost between £225 and £550. As well as being scattered on and around the sofa, Ben and Cat even had a pair to cradle during the chat.
The realistic aspects of the baby led to Cat, 47, not being able to stop herself reassuringly stroking the toy. ‘I don’t know why I’m doing it,’ she said.
After complimenting the workmanship, Ben, 49, added that they could be considered a ‘little bit eerie’.
‘They feel so life-like but they’re not,’ he continued before asking what her response is to people who call them ‘sinister’ or ‘weird’.

‘Once you look at the doll and feel it, you will change your mind because they have a good feel to them and that’s why they are good for children with autism, or adults with autism, dementia or Alzheimer’s because they produce a hormone in your body that feels good,’ she explained.
Cat immediately shared that she could feel it.
Jayne added that she’d created a doll for one man with autism, who now feels more confident being out of the house.

The dolls are sold on Tinkerbell Creations, where further details about the dolls are provided including how the features are created.
The hair is made from angora mohair, the eyes are glass, and the weight replicates that of an actual human baby. The hand-crafted dolls are also painted with a special formula that they claim will not fade or rub off.
On yesterday’s episode, Ben and Cat were joined on the sofa by Jon Bon Jovi, who made a swift exit from the studio.
