WWE superstar JD McDonagh has suffered a punctured lung after a terrifying moment on Monday Night Raw.

The 34-year-old Irishman was wrestling in last night’s opening match on Netflix as he and fellow Judgment Day star Dominik Mysterio challenged the War Raiders’ Erik and Ivar for the World Tag Team Championships.

Midway through the bout, McDonagh hit a springboard moonsault to the outside of the ring, and collided nastily as he back struck the announce table.

While his neck appeared to whiplash against the desk, McDonagh revealed on X: ‘First off, thanks to everyone for the messages and the concern. I’m good.

‘I’ve got a couple of broken ribs and a punctured lung, so I’m going to be out for a couple months. All things considered, it could have been a lot worse, so I’m grateful for that. See ya in a bit.’

Despite being checked on by the ringside doctor during the commercial break, McDonagh finished the match, earning himself a round of applause from the live crowd.
