X Factor legend Janet Devlin has blown fans away with her new look, after hitting an incredible milestone.

The singer first rose to fame as a teenager on Simon Cowell’s talent competition in 2011, which saw Little Mix crowned winners.

Janet has spoken about her experience on The X Factor, where she was in Kelly Rowland’s category, previously claiming she was told by producers to appear more emotional, and how fame was ‘a lot’ for a 16-year-old to deal with.

She’s since gone on to produce numerous studio albums, but her latest track has caused quite a stir, with fans stunned at her new look, and applauding her huge achievement as she’s hit the charts.

The single cover shows Janet wearing cowboy boots, a high-leg black leotard and fur coat. And as if that wasn’t iconic enough, she’s also riding a mechanical bull.

Emotional Rodeo has made it into the top 40 and is climbing, with the star sharing messages of gratitude and her reactions on social media.

In one emotional video shared on Sunday, she was sobbing as she said: ‘I’m literally crying my eyes, out, I’ve never made it to the Top 40 in all my 13 years of doing music.

‘It’s just so funny, this song is Emotional Rodeo and this is what this whole thing has been so far.’

Thanking her fans, the29-year-old added: ‘I don’t know what else to say, give me a minute to catch my breath! I never thought it would happen.’

Fan Chloe wrote: ‘Loved you on X Factor and have popped in and out of what you’ve been up to. Heard this song for the first time today and wow! Love it! It’s like a match made in music heaven.’

‘Nobody is more deserving. You are the most talented and beautiful woman there is. I’m so happy that amazing things are finally happening for you,’ Michael added.

‘I hope that you get to enjoy every moment of this release. You have worked so hard for it, enjoy the love, you’ve earned every ounce of it,’ Mark said.

One follower though wasn’t as convinced by her new look, writing: ‘I don’t like that you use this fur coat and are nearly half naked like some sort of Christina Aguilera, I don’t know what this mechanic Bull does represent but it looks very satanic in my eyes…’

As well as other fans rushing to her defence, Janet herself replied with laughing emojis, brushing off the criticism.

She later wrote: ‘It means more than words can express! To finally make it in the top 40 and to also get played on big stations. I’m so proud of us and yeah I’m still crying.’

Janet made it to the live quarter-finals on The X Factor, and later spoke about how ‘terrifying’ it was.

Just years after rising to fame and moving from Northern Ireland to Sheffield, Janet struggled with her addiction to alcohol, and has spoken about her time in recovery.

She said, according to MailOnline: ‘I was just 16 when I appeared on The X Factor and suddenly became known to so many people.

‘And though I didn’t realise it then, within four years I would be an alcoholic. Thankfully, I’m in active recovery.

‘I was a child of 16 and it was terrifying. Like there’s no way to prepare yourself for your life changing overnight.

‘There’s no way to prepare yourself for getting online abuse from adults. It was hard.’
