<p id=”par-2_18″>CBS has announced a launch date for <em>Y: Marshals, </em>the much-anticipated spinoff of the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/taylor-sheridan-refused-back-down-from-his-insane-demands-when-originally-pitched-yellowstone-going-cost-90-100-million.html/”>hit Taylor Sheridan show</a>. </p>

<p id=”par-3_22″>The new show will premiere Sunday, March 1, 2026 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Episodes will also stream live and on-demand on Paramount+. </p>
<p id=”par-4_19″><em>Y: Marshals </em>stars Luke Grimes, who will reprise his <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/yellowstone-star-luke-grimes-reveals-his-favorite-thing-about-twin-flames-kayce-and-monica-exclusive.html/”><em>Yellowstone </em>role as Kayce Dutton</a>. Sheridan is an executive producer. </p>
<p id=”par-5_36″>In the show, Kayce has left the Yellowstone Ranch behind to join “an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana,” according to CBS. </p>
<p id=”par-6_59″>Kayce and his team “must balance the high psychological cost of serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence with their duty to their families.” Working with Kayce as part of U.S. Marshals unit are Pete Calvin Pete Calvin (Logan Marshall-Green), Belle Skinner (Arielle Kebbel), Andrea Cruz (Ash Santos), and Miles Kittle (Tatanka Means). </p>
<p id=”par-7_38″>In addition to Grimes, <em>Y: Marshals </em>will feature several other <em>Yellowstone </em>alums. Breckin Merrill is back as Kayce’s son Tate, as are his confidantes Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) and Mo (Mo Brings Plenty) from the Broken Rock reservation.</p>
<p id=”par-8_60″>One name that’s noticeably absent from the cast list is Kelsey Asbille. She played Monica on <em>Yellowstone, </em>Kayce’s wife and the mother of his son. Why Monica isn’t in the new show isn’t yet clear, but some fans have speculated that the writers might have killed her off, perhaps as a way to inspire Kayce’s desire for a fresh start. </p>

<p id=”par-9_15″>Grimes is excited to explore a different side of his <em>Yellowstone </em>character in <em>Y: Marshals. </em></p>
<p id=”par-10_76″>“This new show, it’s very exciting,” he told <a href=”https://youtu.be/CkVs39dzl2A?si=z9p1JM9jOwGvQegP” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Entertainment Tonight</a> in an interview ahead of the 2025 VMAs. “There’s a lot for Kayce to do now. And I feel like in the original <em>Yellowstone, </em>that was sort of his arc, that he didn’t know what to do with his life and he was always sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place and now he’s got a path and a journey to go on.” </p>
