Zoe Ball has light-heartedly poked fun at not being chosen to be a new Strictly Come Dancing presenter, quipping that she won’t need cosmetic surgery.

This week, it was finally confirmed that Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe and Josh Widdicombe will be the new hosts of the BBC programme.

The announcement came after months of speculation, following the shock news during last year’s series that Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly would be stepping down.

It was previously believed that Zoe, 55, was a frontrunner to take over, given her years of presenting experience, her prior experience competing on Strictly in 2005, and the fact that she fronted the spin-off show It Takes Two.

However, earlier this month, she revealed that she was ‘grieving’ after missing out on the coveted position.

Nonetheless, in a new interview, it sounds as though she’s now somewhat relieved to no longer be in contention for it.
