A woman was killed and a man wounded in a shooting Saturday night in the North Lawndale neighborhood.
Officers responded about 8:10 p.m. in the 3800 block of West Roosevelt Road, where they found paramedics treating Courganae White, 22, and a 26-year-old man who had both suffered gunshot wounds, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
White was shot multiple times in the chest and was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital, police said. Her death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was taken to the same hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
No one is in custody, police said.
