A person died after two cars crashed on the Dan Ryan Expressway early Sunday morning, according to Illinois State Police.
The crash happened just before 1 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-94 near 91st Street. One person was pronounced dead at the scene and three others were taken to nearby hospitals, state police said.
All lanes were shut down until 5 a.m. The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
