One teenager was killed and three were injured Saturday in an El Paso County rollover crash, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
A 16-year-old boy was driving a Nissan Pathfinder north on Peyton Highway when he failed to navigate a turn, went off the right side of the road and rolled, according to a state patrol news release.
The crash happened just before 11 a.m. Saturday and about 30 miles northeast of Colorado Springs, near the intersection of Peyton Highway and Pinon Park Road, state patrol officials said.
The 16-year-old driver was ejected from the car during the crash and airlifted to a hospital, where he later died, according to the news release.
Paramedics took three teenage passengers — including two 16-year-old girls and another 16-year-old boy — to the hospital with minor injuries, state patrol officials said.
The Colorado State Patrol Vehicular Crimes Unit is investigating the crash.
