An 11-year-old Chicago boy was killed during a two-vehicle rollover traffic crash that also injured five other people Sunday on the Eisenhower Expressway in west suburban Maywood.
Troopers responded to the crash at about 11:10 a.m. involving two vehicles that were traveling west near 25th Street when they crashed and at least one flipped over, Illinos State Police said.
The boy, Iker Paredes, was dead on the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Five other people were injured and taken to hospitals, state police said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
