A 16-year-old boy was outside in the South Chicago neighborhood when he heard gunshots and felt pain Saturday night, Chicago police said.
The boy, who was in the 7900 block of South Jeffery Boulevard at around 11:30 p.m., was shot in his lower back. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said.
Police have not announced any arrests.
