Police are looking for the assailant who walked up to two men and gunned them down on the Near West Side Thursday night.
Around 10:10 p.m., two 38-year-old men were outside in the 300 block of South Maplewood Avenue when a gunman approached and fired shots, Chicago police said.
One of the men was shot multiple times in the body and was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The second man was shot in the left and right flank and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials said.
Their names haven’t been released and no arrests have been made.
Area 4 detectives are investigating.
