A second man has been charged in connection with a Humboldt Park shooting that left a woman dead and another seriously injured in September, according to Chicago police.
Carlos Marrero, 26, was arrested Tuesday on charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder, according to police. Another man, 18-year-old Evan Reich, was arrested Friday and charged in the same shooting.
Jailene Cepeda, 26, was found on the ground about 2:45 a.m. Sept. 13 in the 1700 block of North Kimball Avenue, police said.
Cepeda was shot in her head and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was pronounced dead; a 36-year-old woman was also shot and seriously injured, police said.
