Two women and one man were injured in an apartment fire early Sunday morning in the South Shore neighborhood, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
The fire happened in the 1900 block of East 73rd Place and the cause is under investigation, fire officials said in a social media post. The three injured people were taken in serious condition to University of Chicago Medical Center.
A spokesperson for the Fire Department did not immediately return a request for more details.
