Cinco personas fueron hospitalizadas, incluyendo el conductor de autobús de la Autoridad de Tránsito de Chicago (CTA, por sus siglas en inglés) en un accidente el lunes por la mañana en Bridgeport, en el que el autobús chocó contra un teatro, según la Policía de Chicago (CPD, por sus siglas en inglés).
A eso de las 10:41 a.m. un autobús de la ruta #8 Halsted en dirección norte chocó contra un edificio en la cuadra 3500 al sur de la calle Halsted y continuó hacia el norte, golpeando un Cadillac que también conducía hacia el norte, dijo la policía. Como resultado, un total de 11 vehículos se vieron implicados en el accidente y cinco personas fueron hospitalizadas.
Un miembro del personal estaba dentro del recién renovado Teatro Romova en ese momento, según la copropietaria Emily Nevius.
“Estamos trabajando estrechamente con la policía y ayudándoles en su investigación sobre este asunto”, dijo un portavoz de la CTA en un comunicado.
